Another day, another trip... this one to the little-known Maya site of Muyil. But we took the road less traveled: an ancient canal used by the Maya to travel from land to sea and back again.
We got out of the boat and swam a part of the way... fully aware of the ever-lurking possibility of a saltwater crocodile making a quick meal of us all. But that only intensified the experience.
